Abstract

Low temperature composite salt-bath chromizing process of steel W18Cr4V was studied in this paper. The microstructure phase structure and compositions of composite chromized layer were analyzed. The wear- resistance of chromized layer was tested as well. The results showed that a composite chromized layer with good wear-resistance could be obtained on the surface of steel W18Cr4V by low temperature salt-bath chromizing after nitro-carburizing.
