聚合物热解制备硬质碳膜及其摩擦学性能表征

摘要:
合成了一种新型碳基骨架聚合物一聚碳苯,将其溶解于有机溶剂中,通过旋涂法涂覆于耐热钢表面,在常压、惰性气体保护下,经过高温热处理得到碳薄膜。利用X射线光电子能谱和原子力显微镜考察了热处理温度对碳膜的微观结构和表面形貌的影响,同时利用纳米压入仪和球盘摩擦试验机考察了不同温度制备的薄膜的纳米硬度和摩擦学特性。结果表明:热处理温度为600~1000℃可以得到具有sp3-c和sp2-c混合相的碳薄膜,随着热处理温度的升高,薄膜中sp2-c含量增加,均方根粗糙度(RMS)增加;热处理温度为800℃时制备的碳薄膜具有最高的纳米硬度;在室温干摩擦条件下,当热处理温度从600℃提高到700℃时,薄膜的摩擦因数有明显的降低,随着温度的进一步升高,摩擦因数只有轻微的降低;薄膜的耐磨寿命随着热处理温度的提高而逐渐增加。

Preparation and Tribological Properties of Hard carbon Films by Heat-treatment of Polymer

Abstract:
Hard carbon films were prepared on steel substrate by heat-treatment of a polymer- poly(phenylcarbyne) at various temperature in Ar atmosphere. The influence of heat-treatment temperature on the microstructure, surface roughness and tribological properties of the films was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), nanoindenter and ball-on-disk sliding tests. The results showed that, in the Raman spectra of films heat-treated above 600 C, the so-called D-line and G-line appeared, which indicates the existence of amorphous carbon films. The sp2 C fractions of the hard carbon films and the RMS (root mean square) roughness increased as the heat-treatment temperature rised. The carbon film prepared at 800 C displayed the maximum hardness. The friction coefficient and wear-resistance of hard carbon films on steel substrates are all strongly dependent on the heat-treatment temperature as well.
