Abstract:
The self-propagating high-temperature synthesis(SHS) is a prospecive scientific and technological field,which is based on the principle of maximum utilization of chemical energy of the reaction substances for obtaining inorganic compounds, materials and articles of various purposes.The SHS technology is characterized by a lot of excellent properties. It is believed that the SHS technology will be surely used widely in the future and create good economic benefits. The elementary theory, characteristic, development and the application of SHS technology in the industrial area were discussed in detail in this paper.
